Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Care (91561NSW)

 Diploma in Ageing and Pastoral Care runs for 18 months. Participants need to attend block classes several times per year. This course requires participants to complete work placement in a pastoral care setting. Assessments are available online or via hard copy booklet.

 This course covers:

  1. Provide pastoral and spiritual care for the elderly
  2. Establish and monitor a case plan 
  3. Provide loss and grief support 
  4. Facilitate the counselling relationship

Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) (CHC33015)

Certificate III in Aged Care will be run once a week in Marayong (near Blacktown) except during school holidays. Participants will complete work placement after the first 4 weeks of classes. The entire course runs for 6 months.

 Subjects include:

  1. Providing individualised support
  2. Recognise healthy body systems
  3. Assist clients with medication
  4. Meet personal support needs
  5. Working with people who have dementia and mental health issues Please note: There are 13 subjects in total.

Cert IV in Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care (CHC42315)

 Use communication to build relationships

  1. Provide pastoral and spiritual care
